Bush is the propaganda king. the economy is good oh yeah, bullcrap! the economy is in bad shape, we might be going into a major recession, thats the truth, I am in business and I talk to people all over and the news is not good unless your in the oil business then its great, I believe the middle class is under attack from all directions. Some of the main reasons is the trade agreements and outsourcing. Anytime you can move factories out get rid of those decent paying jobs and pay slave labor wages in another country and outsource so many other jobs but still have access to the markets you moved the jobs out of buying power drops and no the service jobs won't do it we are out of balance!

I personally think the Economy is in a bit of a slump at the moment, although if you look in the past, after the past Presidents have decided to get out of war -- the country almost everytime have jumped back to its normal rythem, and even at times more powerful than it once was. I do agree about the price of gas -- that is a major issue. I also heard somewhere that the United States has way way way more "Oil Reserves" than what it claims. I heard that the U.S. gov is just waiting until everyone else runs out that way the U.S. will be the only ones with oil -- which means they will become even more wealthier and more powerful. But it could be a rumor.

Well, personally, if I could keep my spending under control and pay off debts I incurred back when I didn't know how to handle money, then I'd be in great financial shape. As it is now, though, with the gas prices as high as they are and with events beyond my control causing me to spend more than I'd like, I'm in a bit of a bind. However, it's making me realize that I've got to be a better steward of my money, so once I've learned my lessons and successfully implemented them, I'll be fine.
Other people may not be, though, and still others will be swimming in dough. Simply put, the stories about how good or how bad the economy is doesn't mean crap to the individual. Those who are smart enough to stash money away in safe locations will weather any economic storm that comes, and those who aren't, won't.

I'm really surprised you still listen to what he says. Really surprised. Check your last utility bills, the local gasoline prices, your monthly check, and your savings. Oops, that word has been deleted from the Dictionary of some people. At anyway, compare those with what you made and paid only couple years ago, or before he was handed the president's job. If you're doing the same or better, you must be working for him, or have a top position on big oil, big pharma, or a weapon maker. Otherwise, you're just like most of people who are having hard time to make a living. Also check your local 60 percent increase on bank foreclosures. Boy, doesn't that sound like the signs of a good economy...? I didn't copy and paste anything. It's just in front of me.

Yea right, the economy is good for the oil companys, and most of the crooked politicians (who allow them to gouge the price up) and for the rich, but for the middle class hard working people(citizens) it is really getting bad. What do I mean by crooked?, well see they allow the lobbyists to pad their bank accounts to get them to sway their vote or to ignore the situation. The economy of this country was the best it had ever been when the small oil companys were drilling our own oil. At least we kept the money here in the states instead in the Arab countries where we see nothing in return, except for war. If you would look up the some of the new construction of homes for the oil-rich Arabs who control the price of oil, you would see where you money is going., its not here., and it really pisses me off, that those crooks in Washington see it, know it, and count it, at the end of the week in their pay checks. So no, is the answer for me on the economy it is not good, and now today, Congress has voted to allow the illegals to draw from our Social Security, when they have not paid a dime into the system. Hey I wonder how much the Mexican President paid the politicians for that vote!!!!! Hey don't get mad at me ok, you will have to pay the price for up keep, and you will probably not have a dime for you to draw if you become disabled, and you have been paying in how long?, or how long will you pay in?? Its not a gripe, its something we as tax-paying citizens of the America better look at. So don't call me prejudice, or anything else, its my money and its yours, don't you have a right to see where it goes?????

Hey ya'll
We've never had good health care no matter who was in office. Remember the Hillary Clinton plan that never got off the ground?
I am better off than I was 8 years ago.
These things come and go in cycles with very little having to do with who is in office.
The biggest economic worry right now... gas prices

Certainly good for the wealthy. With high interest rates and sinful profit margins he and his cohorts are enjoying a killing. Those of us who actually work for a living are living paycheck to paycheck and our paychecks are going to be going through some serious shrinkage to pay the horrendous national debt that has accrued under this administration. The government has been turned into and old boys club to make sure the availability and distribution of cheap labor remain abundant. The favorable view of unlawful immigrants from Mexico coming in to work is really an new version of apartheid in disguise. It will assure that he and his buddies have cheap ranch hands and golf caddies; labor from people who can easily be exploited and told to leave if they do not like it. The notion that Americans do not like certain types of work is a myth; what Americans do not like is being underpaid. I am amazed at how we are blindly bending over and taking this. I have always lived frugally by choice in order to prepare for the future. In spite of increases in salary over the years, I am living frugally by necessity because the actual cost of living has skyrocketed.

Politics suck.
If liberals were in control of a failing economy they'd say the same thing.
Both sides are the same... except for views on issues. Everything else is the same greed pasted over.

I and everyone I know are trapped in a perpetual entry level. It's an entry level economy... the majority are going to stay in the entry level until it is no longer possible to maintain themselves doing so, with no way to get any higher than call center supervisor. This is a sign of overpowerful corporations and the destruction of the middle class.

But what the hell does that moron care , he is well off with lots of oil stock and probably leftover Enron money. He is just breastfeeding the blind and the wealthy retired WW2 generation and the lotto winners.
