A low pressure area is sitting over New Mexico, fueled by streams bringing in moisture from the Gulf. When the air near the ground gets warm enough, it begins an upward draft, clouds form, the warm and cool air separate charged particles, and rain and lightning ensue. Stay indoors until the rain stops or you'll end up like those dorks on the news stranded in the middle of the road. Does car insurance include flood damage I wonder...?

Because God is trying to wash away all the crap that has become Albuquerque. I moved out of that hole in 1999 because I figured if the apocolypse were going to happen on January 1, 2000.. I sure didn't want to be there. Congested streets, the heights and four hills area have turned to crap... economy has dropped out, drunks, druggies and criminals scouring the streets, etc... Maybe all the rain will give ABQ a makeover like the one New Orleans received from Katrina.

So the desert will bloom. Because god made the rain. Because the weather has changed all over the world. Pick the answer you like the best and then you will know.

I read that some Catholic diocese in Albuquerque was praying a Novena for rain, but the bishop has now asked them to please stop. Be careful what you pray for, you just might get it!
