Bush always says the truth, doesn't he ?

"Now reverse the situation and pretend you are us"

I can't reverse the situation. Islamist terrorism already harmed France several times and we never considered war could solve the issue.

WERE our friends and allies. Unfortunately the ignorance and tendency of Americans to abandon research and go with the loudest opinion doesn't do much for our integrity.

I was over in France in 2004. I LOVED France, we travelled from Calais to Agda; stopping in Vallon Pont D'arc, Millau, LePuy...Most everyone was very nice and your food is unequalled. I'd go back in a second!

Less than 1/6th of all Americans voted for Bush. 1/3 of eligible voters turned out, half voted for Kerry, 3% of voters voted for an independent, the rest didn't vote. 1/6th of the American people have a lot to answer for, worse are those who didn't vote.

Just before 9-11 a war monger president named Bush was put into office in the U.S. My dad said to me, "If this guy gets voted in, there's gonna be a war you'll see." And a short time later after he was voted in... 9-11 happened. Is it a conspiracy? Nobody knows. But New Yorkers were so devistated and confused by two of the biggest buildings in the world crumbling straight down covering miles of city streets in tremendous steel beams that made up two of the most beautiful towers the world has seen. Not to mention all the human lives inside those towers at the time, that were lost because some assholes decided to play God and destroy that which they had no right to destroy. You can't imagine the confusion this city felt on that day and months afterwards. We were mad. We were sad. Every emotion we could muster up is what we need to use to battle all the emotions that were trying to battle us every waking moment of the day. It literally meant war. We knew it. Who ever was responsible, had to pay at any cost. When we then asked the French to back us on locating terrorists, the French said no. Now reverse the situation and pretend you are us. And we said we didn't want to help you. How would that make you feel about us?

Agathe, I have no doubt that the French people are friends to the American people. It is not the people of France that seem to be antagonistic to America, but it is the French leadership. Of course we don't understand the French; especially the likes of Jacques Cherout (Sp?) and DeVilliapan, and other leaders, who seem duplicitous in their behavior towards us.Bush is a statesman. As such he cannot call another leader a liar or a weasel, even if he thinks it privately. He may even say it to close advisers, but never publicly. That's being a statesman. Besides, that way, without offense, he still might get what he wants.

Lets see the french military in Lebanon. Oh... they don't have any military left? But maybe can send 200 troops. And france calls itself a world power? Didn't spend enough on defense to hold a good parade. Who cares what side they are on?

Bush is full of ****. A government will do what is in its best interest, as the French did not back the US in the 2nd Gulf War and violated the embargo to Iraq by trading weapons and bombs for oil. However, I'm sure not every French National feels hatred for the US same as not every American has animosity towards the French.

i'm French, I actually have heard that and had a good snigger ! properly, if Bush advised you that we are your human beings and allies, that could want to be the reality... lol... because it grow to be the undeniable actuality that potatoes by no skill referred to as French fries yet Freedom fries. properly, he merely expects France to help US adversarial to Iran, Lebanon grow to be only the start. we may also help and supplies you him 50 of our soldats :))

Most of the Frenchmen I've met were in combat. They were very rude an mostly cowards. I'm sure that not all the French are like that but they also showed their cowardise when Hitler's army invaded; no way would they fight for their country.
