is there a commodore hotel in memphis, tn?

Hi,,,,, i use to live there,, and i do not recall there being one called the Commodore hotel.....
I know the song well,,,, and use to sing it in a band... lol
Not saying that there was not a hotel by that name,, i just dont remember hearing of one.....
i'll be your tennessee lamb,, and well go down together in Dixie Land.....

The Commodore Hotel was in NYC. It was built by the Vanderbilts. Hence the connection to Tennessee and looser connection to Memphis. The hotel was purchased by Trump around 1980 and is now a Hyatt Hotel.
