The lyrics, the music composed around it and lastly how it has been rendered. It has to come from within to be felt by others.

Melody and vocal harmony are way above everything else, followed by chord progression and intrumentals, rhythm. I don't care about lyrics at all.

A guitar that goes beyond distortion. A drummer that clearly has some epilepsy problem and likes the snare. And the words "kill", "death", "blood", "dying", or "kill" have to appear at least five times before the first chorus. Any more questions?
