I read an article that the Queen uses 4-ply toilet paper and want to know if it's true.
Also, does anyone know where I can get some? lol :-P

It is true! I found some sites:

http://www.royalt.us/royalty/Royalty/General/Queen-Elizabeth-II-demands-a-specific-type-of-toilet-paper/

Now where do I buy some please?! :-D

What the....what have you been reading? This is one of the most bizarre q's I've ever come-across. Take two cookies and the rest of the day off.

Contessa06 is nearly right. On official visits to places where Her Majesty might need to visit the local "Throne Room", the advance party ensures that Ma'am does not have to sit on a black loo seat. The flush is also checked to make sure that the "facilities" are sound proof.

When a member of my family had to visit HM a few years ago, nerves got the better of them and they had to use the Queen's WC. They claim that there was no loo roll there. Instead there was a small silver platter (about 6" - 150ml) with normal good quality, 2 ply, toilet paper on it. Each piece of tp consisted of 2 sheets folded along the perforations. So in effect yes it was 4 ply. The presumption was that household staff would replenish the tray as required.

What ply is my normal supermarket bum paper then? As far as the Queen is concerned then anything goes.God bless you, Your Royal Highness. For an 80 year old lady to be horse riding regularly shows a great constitution. It's the Scottish blood in you!!

Any supermarket sells it.Normal toilet paper is 2-ply right?Fold it over, one sheet ontop of another,it is now 4-ply.Dead easy.. Also its not true that she puts rose petals in cistern to make the water smell nice.

It is only 2-ply because it is easier on the plumbing and more environmentally friendly. It is monogrammed in gold though. Really, I think she just uses an ordinary quality tp.

I think there is a better option: Use the Sun newspaper for this purpose
