-k- I was watching "Titanic" the other day, even though I deplore it. And it finally occurred to me why that movie has always bugged the hell out of me. It's because Leo DiCaprio was in it. Is it just me or did he slaughter that movie with his presence? I thought his acting was an atrocity and an unforgivable distraction. I think Titanic could've been a great movie with someone less....how do I put this gently....utterly obnoxious. Anybody else agree?

For the record ktluvs_supernatural and b_andee2, I am gay....very gay (check out my Yahoo 360 page for proof). I just happen to think that Leo is a lousy actor, that's all.

LEONARDO DICAPRIO DID NOT RUIN THE MOVIE! It was good. You are just another one of those jerks who think Leo is "gay".

Sorry that I had to yell at you, but YOU DESERVED IT! >:P

Titanic is on the tv right now as I type this. I do not usually like
remakes of movies but this was a really special movie. Even
though Leo was a young man in this movie, his part called for a
young man, not a hero type just a poor young man who won a
trip on the titanic through a card game win. Most of the people who died in the ocean that night were the working class and the
poor. The main survivors were the rich and only a handful of others could get onto the boats. I think this was a well made
award winning movie and the cast was excellent. It had the best
and most haunting score sung by Celine Dion and the scenery
was breathtaking. Grant you there was not a big lovemaking
sexy scene by a experienced actor but in those days , people were less into sex scenes and more into romance. Now, if you
wanted a hotter sexy man to play that part, I would have recommended the hot actor that played Diane Lanes lover in
Unfaithful. The two of them were a real steaming pair.

I beg to differ, Leonard Di Carpio didn't ruin the Titanic movie or whatsoever, he was the right actor for that job. It was a mega hit and still unbeatable in box-office. If his acting was an "atrocity" I don't think the film will not make a history in movie industry, but Titanic already sets its record in the history book. Oh, have you seen the movie "What's eating Gilbert Grape"? Its a very good movie, Johnny Depp and Leonardo Di Carpio were superb there!

omg how can you say that no way that movie rocks and it woudn't be the same with out leonardo decapreo no at all did you know that he almost didn't get the part because he was too good looking that is a true fact but no way he totally didn't slauter the movie in my oppinion he made it better if anything and i think that he is the reason that a lot of people even went to see the movie in the first place when it came out and why they say it when it was on vidoe and dvd leo is awesome and the titanic is a real ship that really sank and they fond it i beleive in the atlantiv ocean

No I think Titanic ruined Titanic. It was so predicable. About 20 minutes into the movie, I figured out that the ship was going to sink. Did not see the iceberg thing coming. There is noway an iceberg could ever sink a ship.

I didn't like Billy Zane either, I cannot stand him in any movie. Yeah, I agree with you on that, he does bug me in certain movies. I wouldn't call him an unforgiveable distraction, but it's like Gangs of New York. Of the three main actors, I was more enthralled with Daniel Day Lewis character and wanted more of him than anything. Leo's pretty good in other films, but even Aviator, I picture someone else in that role.

I disagree. That movie was atrocious no matter who you put in the role. Bad writing, I say. Ug, that movie is just so bad! I'm glad somebody else agrees with me, even if it's for a different reason. Because everyone seems to love that stupid piece of crap.

Of course as a womans point of view I think he did great but I am a fan of his, so with you being a male it is different unless you are gay...And nothing bad about gay men some will agree with me, have a few and they love him and the movie... but everyone has different opinions...

Oh please. Leo was the reason why I watched Titanic. The movie made 1.8 billion from what I've heard so he helped make Titanic a sucess.

My daughter was OBSESSED with the Titanic ...movie and CD so I detest it anyway. But I do get what you are saying. He and Kate didn't convince me they where all about the love.
