I understand your question; but I must say there would be vast problems with your theory. Most women desire to stay feminine and the men prefer to remain masculine. If the trend would change, there would not be any attraction. Everyone would be void of the very qualities that cause the men and women to fall in love.

neither. men and women will never be completely equal. most men are naturally stronger than most women. men cannot bear or breast feed children. most women are naturally more emotional than most men. its just the way we have evolved as human beings. our past determined our future. our male ancestors hunted for food and were the protectors. our female ancestors bore and cared for the children.
equality under the law is a completely different story. men and women should have equal pay (which we do not, even still to this day). men and women should be judged on an equal playing ground when it comes to a job (even when the job involves strength - the physical fitness test for a firefighter should not be changed so that more female firefighters can pass, that is not equality). its not a matter of one sex becoming more masculine or feminine, that doesnt matter at all. we need to become more gender blind in the job market. if a man gets hired over a woman it is because he is honestly better suited for the job and NOT because he is a man. if a woman gets hired for a job over a man it is because she is better suited for the job and NOT because of affirmative action. same goes for those of a different race. the job market needs to become blind to disabilities, race, ethnicity, religion, gender, and sexual orientation if there is ever going to be any kind of true and honest equality.

why do we want both sexes to be the same?
i like girls. of all stripes and sizes. but if they are like men they are less attractive and the more masculine the more unattractive. i assume that women feel a comparable way towards men.
don't take it to mean that i think women should stay at home and tend the hearth while men venture into the world. far from it. but a woman should retain those qualities that make her a woman and a man retain the qualities that make him a man.

Men are already feminine enough - men are XY and women are, well... just XX - I guess women need an extra chromosome to balance out. You owe me 10 points for this one babe!

Neither. You are not on the right track. The answer is men need to be respectful of women, it's just that simple.

Neither... to achieve equality, both sexes should be treated equally by everyone. Our sexuality is what makes us individuals.
