Well I wouldn't say this was the "best"...it was however QUITE surreal. Several years ago a witnessed a woman strip to "Jesus is Just Alright" by the Doobie Brothers.
It was like I had walked in on a poorly orchestrated David Lynch film.

I use to socialize at a place called "Merchant's Landing, Pier 12" up on Lake Erie, in Point Place Ohio. I liked to sit and drink, and talk with the girls. Round tables with uncomfortable high back vinyl chairs, round tables and a mirrored bar with more colored lights than a Disco on Saturday night.

The girls would sit and talk with me and who ever I was with, (Buddies) and then they'ed go up on stage, in the smoke and colored lights they danced for me ...

"You've lost the love'in feeling. Whoe, that love'in feeling. You've lost that love'in feeling, now it's gone ... gone ... gone."

"Baby. Baby I get down on my knees for you.
If you would only, love me, like you use to do."

Beautiful women, moving and swaying and spinning on a shinny brass pole. They made it looked effortless. I knew them all by name and what they liked to drink and what they preferred to talk about. Twice a week I would go visit them while they worked.

Thinking back, I start thinking about "Main Street" by Bob Segar.

Smile, I'm missing my leather jacket too.
