Hair does not sweat and even if you shave it off there will still be some sweating in the area.

2 types of sweat glands, apocrine and eccrine
eccrine all over body, glands excrete salty water
apocrine is under armpits and groin region, expels cytoplasm, which when digested by bacteria create a bad smell
even if you shave it off, the glands will still be there

wash morning and night with soap and water. dry well. keep the hair trimmed. wear cotton underwear to help absorb moisture. avoid heavy oils and creams in the area. DO NOT use baby powder... it is made from corn starch which is sweet and creates a nice sweet, warm environment for yeast and fungus to grow.
