To populate or re-populate the earth, there had to have been incest. Any comments or explanations?

Yes, there was incest. We would not have been here if it were not so. But then, God has His Divine plans and His ways are beyond all human understanding, believe me. Who can tell/ reveal all the mysteries that have taken place but the Creator Himself.
Ah! science and evolution theories, they can never be the ultimate truth.

I am amused at the responses you have received...
for most people to truly understand the Bible...they must first read and meditate on it...most people are going on what someone told them about the Bible...

Was there incest in the Bible?
If you believe that Adam and Eve were the only people on the plant...then there would have had to have been incest...

If you believe that God did not stop creating humans after He created Adam in the Garden of Eden...then there is less chance there was incest going on...seeing as Cain and Abel had wives where there was no mention of Adam and Eve conceiving again I think this is proven more so than anything else...

When Adam and Ever were cast out of the Garden of Eden, there were other people in the outer lands...

I have often wanted to know one way or the other...but I have come to the decision not ask about this one point because there are so many others I don't think I can overlook...

Well I am an Atheist - but this time I am going to kind of talk on behalf of the Christians !

Adam and Eve were the fist created beings - but that doesn't mean that God stopped there - he created other humans too - not mentioned in the Bible because useless and no book space ;).

Noah - May be a person living in an area - mistook that his area was the shole world and told that the whole world was flooded :).

What ? you are not satisfied with my answer ? Well I have the right to imagine too ya ? After all there are millions who are living in an imaginary world ?

No, a possible alternative explanation is that there were other people that weren't mentioned in the Bible. By the way, I think you meant Ark, not Arc. Or did you mean Orc, like those in Lord of the Rings?

Interesting question!

Adam and Eve did not have an incestual relationship, since they were not blood-related. They were simply the first man and woman. The Bible never stated they were other-wise related, outside of marriage.

As for Noah, he had three sons, who had three wives. Bada bing, bada boom, there ya go. No incest, but interesting question nonetheless.

If you believe the bible then everybody on this earth is related to each other. But if you believe in current scientific theory everybody is related to each other so we are all the product of incest.

I see a lot of nonbelievers here. So think about this. Scientists have discovered thru DNA that we all originated from one mother.
I think a few Muslims are also writting answers. To them. Did you know that Muhammad had 20 wives. The youngest was 6 yrs. old and he knew her when she was 9 yrs. old. A real example of morality.

Yes, there was incest. I mean how could there not be? Which is in stark contrast to what is stated in Leviticus.

And in responce to "jared g" Humans are the same species, so there was no cross breeding invovled.

Yeah. Don't worry about it there were plenty of other people around and the bible is just, like any story, telling about the principle characters to make some other 'important' point.
Strive to think for yourself, follow your truth, not what anyone or any book says you must think ... don't worry, God is as real as you and me ... and inside of you and us ... and never recommended incest.
Even though some might think so.

Hush my child. The bible thumpers don't want to hear that. Let me tell about another wonderful story that doesn't pertain to your question. Oh, I'm sorry, I must have gotten carried away and thought I was a preacher. If you like your two questions, let me give you another.
2nd Chronicles
Chapter 22
Verses 9, 10 & 11
