While I am typing in Word the letters insert themselves randomly into other words?

When I hit the space bar the cursor relocates and whatever I was typing is now inserting into a different line or different word. I have tried Microsoft help for two weeks and have not found a help topic that corrects this problem.

you could try a couple of simple things. reinstall word, or use something similar to word like open office. it can manage all files that microsoft can.

Are you using a laptop or a desk top? If it's a laptop, is it possible that when you're hitting the space bar you're also hitting the mouse pad?
