I think it's a matter of perception. What is sexy to one person is un-sexy to another.
Evolutionarily speaking, the view that it is unsexy is primitive. It means "she's knocked up, the work is done, down boy." The drive for sex is for the end result of pregnancy, therefore, why continue to have sex when mission is accomplished?
We're the only female animals that have sex when not in heat. When we're not ovulating, when we're pregnant, when we're in menopause, we are willing and able. Why? Why waste time having sex when you could be gathering food?
Some scientists believe it is to keep the male around. Our offspring are comparatively the most helpless mammal, and therefore they benefit greatly from two parents.
For some guys, there's something sexy about no period, being able to do it whenever and wherever and however for 9 whole months. Well, that's the theory.
For other guys, the idea of someone else "listening in" or potentially hurting that someone else is not sexy at all. And then there's the bump. Real turn-off to some guys. For others, it's a beautiful "look what I did" kind of thing (insert Tim Allen grunt here).
But, yes, the sickness, the crankiness, the awkwardness, the bigness, all do get in the way and make a woman feel quite un-sexy. But in the end it's all worth it. You have a sort of genetic immortality.

Pregnancy is sexy! You are crazy if you dont think it. Being pregnant is awsome... you are full of life. Being able to bear, reproduce, create a life that is the best feeling a women could feel. My opinion. When I was pregnant... I was always complimented on my attractiveness. They say that pregnant women have this special glow. And if you are a man that don't think so... then you are thinking outside of the box. In it for all the wrong reasons.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me, I will love the shape of my belly knowing that I am carrying life inside of it. Sex might make a baby, but it is the love for that baby that makes everything worth-while. Men who think that it is not sexy to see their wife round with their child is self centered and not ready for a commited relationship, I believe. Men like that care more about what size jeans their wife is in instead of loving her for the person that she really is inside. Also loving her for her part in making that child. There are things about pregnancy that could be quite gross to a husband or boyfriend, but when you get through that, your wife/girlfriend will look so beautiful, you won't know how much you love her till she is beaming and glowing from a pregnancy. I know that my husband will be exstatic when I am pregnant! I almost can't wait!

If you believe in evolution, it makes sense for guys to be turned off by pregnancy, because having sex with a pregnant woman will not produce any more childred. So guys who perfer sex with pregnant women will reproduce less than guys who perfer sex with non-pregnant women.
Except for wild stalions, who kick the pregnant female if the child is not theirs.

Sex is about doing all you can to get a woman pregnant without having her actually get pregnant. It's like aiming at a bull's eye and hoping you miss.

Yeah, I agree, it's not always sexy anymore because the deal has already been done. Besides, most men aren't out to make babies anyways.
