She is a pioneer not only in the world of children's/ pre-teen writing, but in modern literature as whole. The fact that she chooses to kill main characters is unique and something that authors of children's literature should have been doing long ago (and did do, back in the very old days of the brothers Grimm). We can only wait and see what will happen in book 7, but whatever she chooses to do I'm sure it will be a wonderful story.

Various thoughts . . .
It sells books and keeps people talking about the next one.
It has people re-reading the books and looking for clues.
It makes a good story better.
It is her prerogative. (Although I don't think it will prevent sequels at all.)
It keeps things a mystery and people love a good mystery so the lines at the book stores and the advance orders will be even higher.
One of the best clues is that both Harry and Lord Voldemort cannot both live.

Harrys scar is probably a horcrux. And Rons gonna die, then Harry will kill voldemort but he *gasp* wont really die, so Harry has to kill himself and go behind the black curtain and all the people close to Harry who have been killed will help him destroy the evil git once and for all, yay! Then Harry will be dead.

Of course no one wants them all to die but I'd do the same thing. Since the 7th is supposedly the final book, I wouldn't want any random author to write a sequel to my series.

i think it woild be both cool and sad. cool cause it willbe more suspenseful. bad part cause the book series will end.
