Explain to your mother the value of having a MySpace page and assure her that you are mature enough to understand the dangers of the internet, and you will be responsible enough to stay away from those hazards.

If you were my child, and I truly believed that what I was doing was for your own good, such as, not allowing a myspace account, there would be no way that you could persuade me. Honey, your mom isn't trying to come up with new ways to make your life miserable and make you unhappy, she is trying to assure that you will be alive, and well for as long as possible.

she is looking out for you because she loves you and doesnt want you to be hurt. there are so many people that have been raped and/or killed because of a myspace profile. dont risk it. i had one for about 20 minutes one time, my boyfriend told me to take it off because he loves me too much for me to risk my life. my friends still try to get me to do it, but i keep telling them no. its not worth losing your life over it. listen to your mother, she is only saying this because she cares and wants you to live your life as long as possible. parents arent always right, but this time she is. trust me.

You can't. If she thinks you shouldn't be on it because of the pontentially bad things that can happen to you, then you should listen. She is just trying to protect you

tell her that basically every1 has one and that its totally safe unless u act stupid on it like tellin ur adress and stuff that s what i said to my mom whenmi first got one and tell he rll ur friends have one and nothing happened to them
