Everywhere you go ignorance is all around. Unfortunately it has gotten to YahooAnswers as well. I think it comes from their up brigning. I also think that what you think is ignorant may not be to them and others. It entertains many of us....fires us up, brings up more questions and answers. I think it also allows people to crack a joke, relieve their stress and laugh at another. I dont really care. Why should you or anyone else? At some point everyone is ignorant no matter how you put it...It's like a disease thats spread. People can make differences but not many do....Many just follow the herd....

1. Nobody gets screened
2. This is open to anyone
3. People don't know how to Google (don't ask me why)
4. When myspace is down, they flood over into this area thinking we can fix their problem on another website (DUH!)
5. Apparently schools teach kids how to pass tests or a course but not how to think for themselves.
6. There is a noticeable absense of common sense these days.
7. Some people feel compelled to give a dumb answer to dumb questions making it seem like there are more dumb people here than there actually are. (guilty)
8. People don't search previous answers and just keep asking the same old questions over and over again.
9. Ignorance knows no boundaries and ignorant people tend to congregate together.
10. Actually, I have no idea. I think I just added to the ignorance quotient. Moron that later.

There are lots of ignorants here in Answers because it's the Internet, and people feel safe behind the pc in the safety of their homes. That way if (when!) they're rude and mean, no one can come after them. Also, it's no longer en vogue to practice tact. Rather, it's a popular thing to let your tongue fly and say anything and everything that comes to mind. Folks don't filter what they say anymore. They also want respect and give none. I don't know why, really.

Oh yeah, it also amazes me how poorly people's writing and grammar skills are. If I had a dollar for ever misspelled word here, man! I've seen it even among Brits. I mean, come on!

sad isn't it. and it has been scientifically proven that we are, by far, the most intelligent people the earth plane has to offer. one can only imagine the troglodytic levels inhabited by the benighted remainder. their consciousness festooned with barbaric maunderings. their ids and egos subliminally bloviated. the horror; the horror. frisch weht der wind , der heimat zu; mein irisches kind, wo weilest du? it's a schande, nicht? :-)

At least use proper grammar if you're going to talk about ignorance.
