Proactive works but i've notice that if you discontinue the product your acne will return. It works, try it out. also, soap is not good for all faces try to get facial soaps, astringents and moisturizers from your pharmacy such as neutrogena, clearasil, noxzema, etc. if they don't work make an appointment with your dermatologist. last but not least, weight gain can cause acne, dirt, and sweat can be the reason too. and the fact that your hormones are going through changes if you are a teen or a young adult.

You could be washing it too much and irritating your skin. Try oil free cleansers, maybe what you are using has oil in it.
Proactiv has benzoyl peroxide which can work on some people to clear up acne. For some people it is a little too strong which can create more breakouts.
Best of luck with that!

Proactive is perfect as it cures my face from all scars and pimples... of cos, it is not 100% pimples free .. whenever u have a pimple, try to apply Nixoden (sell at Guardian / Watson) ... run the medicine on the pimple and you will get well within 1-2 days... :)

Pimples come from the inside out. Its nothing you can treat on the surface, I don't care what anyone says. Your stomach is like a volcano, when it erupts, the impurities are pushed out through your pores. It has no where else to go. Go to a health food store and pick up an internal cleanser. I promise it will help. You have allot of toxins built up in your body and you need to flush them out. Trust me, don't bother with proactive, until you deal with the source, surface treatments wont work. Good luck!!

I was having the same problem my Dr. recommended me to buy nutrugena facial soap so i did ,doubting that it would work considering all the money i had spent on expensive products that only caused me to break out worse.I was amazed and now thankful that i bought the neautragena facial soap foe a couple bucks my face cleared up amazingly within 24 hours,so for now on i wash twice a day with neautragena facial soap you can buy the bar soap for about $2.00 or the pump soap for about $6.00 i used the bar but tomorrow I'm going to buy the pump one so it stays good for emergency's like if i ever break out again.good luck.

try to stop washing your face so much, you're stripping it of it's natural oils. It would be my suggestion that you try taking Omega 3, 6, and 9 and washing your face with a non-perfumed cleanser.
the omega will clear your skin and help reguvinate it from the inside while the cleanser will clean the dirt etc;
try also drinking more water...best way to get those toxins out of your system.

Well, make sure you're getting plenty of sleep and also drinking plenty of water. You could also be washing your face too much. If you're overwashing it could cause your face to be sensitive and actually do more damage than help. Try washing twice a day and using a benzoyl peroxide cream.

I used to clean my face everyday like that, but I think it made it worse.
For some reason my face stays clear when I don't wash it as much.
But I use Kiehls..it's really good.
Proactiv made my face worse.
But that was like 3 years ago, my skin is clear now.
