Many people do that with all types of music. I do notice the rap a lot though too, and it is annoying, but then again, when I pull into a gas station I hear country music blaring and often I turn down my cranked up music as well. So, I really do not know the answer. But I have always wondered about the rap thing. As I write this, I am thinking now and I bet it is just for different reasons--who knows. I have no clue what other people are thinking. lol. I just know that I turn up my music if I am in a certain mood.

Some white kids just love rap music, ya know- grew up around it. Some are just major league posers. Outkasted by their alternative rock, Audi driving, Mountain Dew drinking society and having no choice but to rock white tees & New Era fitted hats.

I'm white and I like some rap music. I don't listen to it because it's cool, I'm passed that age. I also know a few black people who like rock and pop music, does that make them want to be white?
You like what you like, it does not matter what your race is.

actually rap music is not new-it is very old. it was used in radio before tv came about and was in movies from the 20'-30'. and white people did it. rap has been around for thousands of years.used in tribe cultures.

I personally HATE rap music.............But I didn't think that music had a race criteria.
Maybe you think it's cool to be black or to listen to black music. Is that what you're getting at?????????

I listenin' to rap and turn it up loud b/c of the subs i got in my trunk!! but i don't think i'm cool, i just like pissin' older people off!!!
