Easier said than done. My husband cheated over 8 yrs ago. I've forgiven, but I'll never forget. There really isn't a way to "get over it". It's more of a way to get through it. It's the ultimate betrayal and when someone cheats, not only are you left doubting his fidelity, but it spills over into everything else in life. You sit there questioning everything you thought you had and wonder what it really was. It's a tough spot to be in and only you will know when it's time to forgive and start moving forward. Don't let him pressure you. You have the right to mourn the relationship lost, you need the time to get yourself a game plan to make it better and you also have the right to question how in the world it got to this point. Until you do that, you are sort of stuck at ground zero. Nothing me, or anyone else can say, can make the healing process go any faster. It has to come from you, your inner strength and your determination to make things work. I know these probably weren't the answers you were looking for, but honey, you probably weren't looking to ask this question either. I can only tell you what I've learned from experience and hope it helps you some. I'm really sorry for the situation he put you in and I wish you well.

First, you got to figure out if this was a one time incident, of if he's going to continue this behavior. Than if you both choose to stay in the marriage, you can't always make him re-live this mistake everyday and forever. You need to let it go. If you choose not to be with him, first find out if your marriage is worth saving. If it is already unhealthy, you need to find another alternative.

Two answers above are correct, you can't forget, but you can forgive, and the best way is to keep yourself above it and not cheat but live well.

All men are dogs in heat hunny. Men sleep, eat, watch tv, play with their toys, and want to get a nut every few days. (If ya know what I mean) Get over it!!

The wheels on the bus go round and round and life goes on. You must live for yourself and stay in control and if you have children you must live for them.
