-k- loves, I just answered some other guy's question about my most embarrassing moment, and here was my answer to his Yahoo Q:
My friends and I went out pranking one night when I was in high school. We snuck out in the middle of the night and got drunk and decided it would be funny to go take a dump on some random person's front porch as a joke. Well, as I was squatting on this welcome mat, the woman of the house opened the front door and caught me. Needless to say, my friends drove off like bats out of hell and I had quite a bit of explaining to do. . . .
Anyway, it got me thinking, have you ever pulled a prank that you thought was gonna be funnier than hell, and it ended up horrifically backfiring in your face? Describe the prank in detail for the benefit of the rest of us...

When I was in HS, a friend and I took the girls we were dating out to a lake one evening. It was summer and we stopped and bought a watermelon to eat when we got there. The problem was, we dropped and busted the thing so it was ruined. What we did have, though, was a pretty big knife we were going to use to cut the melon. Anyway, as we were running around, I ended up alone with my buddy and his girl and somebody had the bright idea to go find my date and tell her I'd fallen on the knife. They went and told her the story and she rushed up to see how badly I was hurt. I made a real show of suffering for a couple of minutes and then stood up to show her everything was alright. She did not see the humor in the prank at all. In fact, she didn't speak to any of us for quite a while.

No, I can't think of something that stupid. Even when I was drunk, I wasn't that gross.
