Hooking up wireless internet to another router/?

Okay. I hate two computers in my home that are already hooked up with a router. I just got a laptop today and I bought a wireless internet router but I can't seem to be able to hook it up to the other two computers as well. Is there a special way to hook it up through the other router? I feel like I've tried absolutely everything!

You have to have the laptop find the wireless network and then "connect" to it. Go to the wireless network settings icon in the control panel and follow the prompts.
