Keep wearing your style. Don't wear the baggy BS stuff it looks NASTY and getto, that's fact.
Start you're own trend they obviously have no style of their own.

You should do what feels comfortable to you. Dress like you want and do not worry what other people think. Being a teenager is hard in these times but that ones that stand up for their beliefs and do not follow the crowd are the ones that suceed after high school. Remember it may seem like forever but high is just a few short time in your life don't let people tell you what to ware or not to ware be an individual not a crowd follower be your own self be proud and don't waste a minute worrying what they care because in the end none of that matters.

You can dress the way you like and take the flak.
Or you can dress somewhere in between, sort of neutrally.
I don't think you are the kind of guy to dress like everyone else just to fit in. You have to be true to yourself, and only you can decide how to best do that. I'm not a trendy person, so I'd probably dress to disappear in the crowd.
I know a guy who dressed in miniskirts and fishnet or striped hose in high school. And he wasn't gay or transvestite! He just liked to be different. He had a ankle length fur coat (ladies') and really long hair. .Everyone called him "Jesus" (English pronounciation). One day he showed up with his head shaved except for one part on his front hairline. He was really shy, believe it or not. Maybe being different was just how he expressed himself.

One of the best quotes I've heard recently is,"Be yourself and you will fit in."
I didn't have trouble fitting in as a teen but as an adult when I moved from San Francisco to a small town near Sacramento I never felt like I fit in. No one would talk to me and I felt like there was something wrong with me. So I tried dressing down, less city and trendy in an effort to fit in better. Seemed to work a little but I never felt like I was being myself.
Finally, years later, I am dressing the way I like and being myself and have met a lot of new freinds that like me for who I am.
So my advice is just be who you are and you will be much happier than trying to be something you're not.

did you ever stop to think that perhaps the others are dressing that way just because they are weaker than you are and would rather be dressing another way? strength is a very admirable quality, The United States was built with strength. instead of going in and focusing on what they like, stay strong in what you like, taste is relative and should be respected as so. when you mature you will reap the benefits of being an individual with strength. We all have to pick our battles in life and this is a wonderful battle to fight. many many leaders came from fighting battles like this, dare to be different.

I suggest going to another school, if people can't accept you don't be there with them. Find a school where people like what you're wearing or what not. Don't follow other people just be yourself do what you want to do, wear what you want to wear. I myself I guess wear preppy clothes but I mix it up with ghetto style clothing but it doesn't really matter for me mostly because I go to a private school with uniforms. Just take my advice man be you and don't let other people change who you are.

Then you dress preppy. You should be yourself. It's a difficult age and teenagers can be so cruel to each other. It sounds like you don't have the self-esteem to be yourself. Seek some quidance from a professional so you don't waist valuable time. My heart goes out to you. Hope this helps.

It's so tough being a teenager. You've got so much peer pressure.
Well, here's my vote: go with what you like, smile and hold your head up high.
Trust me, the kids who might talk about you are definitely the ones who will wind up in dead-end jobs for the rest of their lives.
The "cool" kids mostly peak at 18 and their lives are all downhill from there. I've seen it time and again.
You'll be the star.
Good luck!

Personally, I had kind of the same problem. Except, I'm a girl. I liked dressing in t-shirts and jeans, but the cool thing was skin tight and girlie(yuk)skirts and crap like that. What I did was; I dressed both ways. A couple of days for "them" and a couple for Me.=) Everybody was happy, especially me.

Ok listen. I know how things are with you. Just act black and get some respect lol. Well just be yourself, people like that and by yourself I mean do what you want but don't do stupid things. And act cool simple as that. I've seen people that dress tight and stff and cool guys respect them. So don't take any tension.

remember, school is like a small fraction of your life. seriously, after high school, you really only hang aroudn the people from high school that were closest to you. with that in mind, do what you want to do! you've only got one life, and you don't want to regret trying to be someone you're not. even if everyone else in the world thinks you're "gay" by the way you dress, you know in your heart that you're not, and that's the only thing that matters! keep your head up! :)
