How to Remove Items From the Start Menu

Steps:
1. Click Start.

2. Click Settings.

3. Click Taskbar & Start Menu.

4. Click the Start Menu Programs tab.

5. Click Remove.

6. Click the item you wish to remove, and then click Remove.

You must have unknowingly selected this option when you installed. Did you get a User's Guide with the program? If not, have you tried Norton's help and support?

Press START-Run-then type in "msconfig" with out quotation marks. Then when the menu pops-up, select the "Startup" tab. Under that tab, you can mange everything that runs on your computer at start-up. Take the checkmark out of the box beside "Norton Start-up scan" (or whatever it is called), and then click "Apply" and then ok. When you exit that menu, a box will pop-up asking you to restart or exit without restarting. I suggest restart. When your computer starts up again, a box will appear telling you that your startup configuration has been changed. Disregard this message, and click the box that says do not show me this message.

I put in AVG and also microsoft defender for secret agent ware. I also use firefox particularly of internet explorer. i have not had a unmarried difficulty once you concentration on that. to reply for your question AVG is damn solid. also, avg is somewhat lighter weight so it received't bathing room down your computing device as norton does. Norton is worry-loose for doing that to computing device. What i might want to do is firts get carry of AVG yet do not setting up it. scrap the whole norton package! really, it's a bloated resource hog and sooooo not worth the money or trouble. get 'avg' or 'avast!' (both free!) they are lite, fast. every bit as effective as any paid a.v.
