How do I disable my Norton start up scan?

Everytime I turn on my computer. Norton 2006 automatically starts to scan. It takes forever before I can do anything on my computer! How do I turn it off? Please Help! I'm annoyed!

Choose Opions tab

Choose Norton Antivirus

Uncheck second check box down.

When you exit that menu, a box will pop-up asking you to restart or exit without restarting. I suggest restart. When your computer starts up again, a box will appear telling you that your startup configuration has been changed. Disregard this message, and click the box that says do not show me this message.
