France is Actually sending close to 500 according to the latest U.S. intelligence reports and they are headlining the effort being put into peace. The U.S. is not sending nearly as many troops as France is. France is sending almost 15% of the troops. You need to get your facts straight before you start bashing other countries and there politics.

Many French soldats were already killed in Lebanon, as sandwiches between Israel and Hezbollah.

France doesn't consider its soldats as cannon's meat, so this time, France wants the conditions of its job to be better defined. When it will be the case, then France will send more troops.

They were going to only send 200 but they finally accepted to double that number. Most of them are still in "White Flag Waving" training.

Being of sound mind - it makes sense to me. The other "troops" should be Jerry Falwell and his flock and Pat Robertson and his flock. And all of the Yahoo Answers warriors who support the "chosen People of God" those masters of state-terrorism (they know who they are - "Adolph" Olmert)
