There is only one way to confront anyone and that is to approach them and try to address your issue by maybe saying i need to talk to you and this has hurt me and we are friends enough to be able to come to one another over any issue, then you remain calm and go from there, but before you confront this person, you need everything laid out on the table, like the true facts of the matter, you can not go by he said she said. This only brings more into your problem and confusion and more hurtfulness.I understand that it isn't right for someone to make false accusations on another, but stop and think, and weigh out this lie,is it really worth the confrontation or not. Most people that lie,are to be pitied, because they don't have a life of their own, therefore they have to make up stories to fill like they fit in or something. It is totally your call though,so best wishes on what ever way you choose to go on this and Good Luck to you!

TELL EM' THE TRUTH,IF {HE,SHE}IS YOUR FRIEND YOU NEED TO LOVE YOUR FREIND ENOUGH TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH OR ELSE YOUR JUST AS BAD AS YOUR FRIEND CAUSE YOUR NOT TELLING THAT PERSON THE TRUTH ,TELL THAT PERSON HOW MUCH YOU CARE FOR HIM OR HER IN A FRIENDSHIP WAY [NO OTHER] AND HOW ITWASNT RIGHT TO LIE ABOUT WHAT THEY LIED ABOUT,AND DONT WORRY ABOUT HOW THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE IT A TRUE FREIND WILL RESPECT YOU FOR BEING TRUTHFUL AND YOULL HVE A STRONGER FRIENDSHIP BUT IF THAT PERSON TAKES IT WRONG DONT WORRY,YA ITS GUNNA HURT BUT YOU DID THE RIGHT THING AND LIEING TO KEEP A FRIENDSHIP IS NO FRIENDSHIP

well, a lie is a lie, no matter how malicious it must be stopped. being nice won't always solve the problem.

I would say "you're so full of Sh*t I could smell you coming last year!" or "Tell me that ridiculous story of yours again... I still can't believe a word of it, because last time I checked, my friend Gullible and Mr. Naive told me they could smell your sh*t coming 2 years ago."
