It could happen. The trouble is guessing what will happen. So many problems involved:
First, it is so hard to guess what might happen. Most genus' and species don't leave a trail that gives enough info to predict any future mutations and changes.
Second, we now have a species on earth that is messing with everything that might have occured. Humans. Without us, evolution for most creatures would have been based on normal inputs, like ecology, predation, and random mutations and such. With humans on the earth, we can screw with a lot of those things. For example...
-we accidently killed off your major predator
-we accidently spilled chemicals into your water and mutated your species.
-your shrimp/squid species created enough mutations where it could spend a minute at a time on the beach and live...but human children started collecting them and killed off the mutation.
-you tasted good so your extinct

And supposedly man is going to lose his nipples in a million years too. The haven't been used nor changed any in three million years but we are going to lose the min the next million. Science is sure of it. MAkes you question science. Documented Science hasn't even been around for 2,000 years and the are already trying to tell us about the past they never saw and the future they never see. Plus why would a creature evolve to the depleting resources of the land when 2/3 of the earth is made of water?

Who knows if a squid or shrimp mutates in a way that allows it to better survive and these mutations slowly lead to living on land it is possible. However it is impossible to predict what with happen to a species in the future, since the mutations are random and most end in failure.

This is 100% True, AND I can prove it. Just take a look at my ex-fiance, and you will see that shrimp and squid can evolve. Was that mean? Do I care?

Trying to pick what will happen to evolution in the next million years is not science. Science must have some means of testing itself. Most likely this is pure speculation.

Well they certainly have been going about it slowly! This is absolutely not the case. They are both well adapted to their environment and any niche they might want to fill on land is occupied by a better adapted creature.

Sensible rational thought and argument rather than ideas that are influenced by an unpopular theory would definitely account for this to be true. It may already be...

It could happen. SOMETHING will have to replace the land dwelling mammals that died off when global warming dried up their habitat & destroyed their food supply.

I doubt it. We'll probably eat them all by then. Or they will be eating us. Oh yeah, do you know what they feed shrimp in shrimp farms? Cadavers.
