i dont have free long distance on this prepaid phone. but if he calls me, will i be the one charged for it?or will we both be?

u wont be charged for long distance but your minutes will be used while you talk to him. if he does not have free long distance it will be charged to his phone when he calls you.

He originated the call, so he either pays the long distance, or he may have free long distance. Phone minutes are another billed item. Both of you will be consuming minutes. He will pay for his, either by using prepaid plan minutes, or by paying so much per minute. Your minutes will come from your prepaid total.

When you add up the cost to both ends, cell phones can be quite expensive!

no.
you are on the receiving end of the phone call. so it will only cost you whatever it is to be on the phone for the duration of the call (local, or long distance).

the long distance cost is alreayd paid for (on his phone).

however, if you were the one initiating the call, then you will be charged accordingly depending on what your service provider charges for the call.

both phones are charged mintues for any air time long distance doesn't really exsist with cell phones its all included but the usage minutes are all the same. ex. he calls you you talk for five minutes, you have used five minutes on your phone.

yeah...prepaid is for minutes used, total...not just how many you call out on.
