It is a scary reminder when we use the vernacular of sports to refer to war. No one really "won" this war. Wars do not bring the furtherment of civilization and civilized values; it is only the horrors of war that make people desirous of peace. No one "won" in Lebanon, but the militant and extremist elements in Iran, Lebanon and Syria (and they number in the tens of millions) will do all they can to make Hezbollah out to be the "winner". They already intend to "pay for" all the losses of the war incurred by the Lebanese people. This is a super-shrewd political move by Iran-sponsored Hezbollah. I guess you can call them "winners" then, if what we mean by "winning" is that you live on influentially - to instigate major wars.

Hezbollah won the hearts and minds of the Arab world… at least for the time being.
However their goal was to free Hezbollah prisoners from Israel. Today, Israel holds 12 more Hezbollah prisoners than they did the day the war started, so Hezbollah lost on that count.

It's not over by any means. Iran sponsors, funds, and equips Hezbollah. Iran intends to "wipe Israel off the map." Hezbollah will attack Israel again.

terrorist, they keep thier weapons, since no one is going to take them away, they get re-armed by Iran and syria and with some new weapons bought though Russia.
They help build new shelters and bunkers to hide weapons under the the new schools and apartments.
And they can do what they want, since it is only the UN there now ( UN was already there before and did nothing)

You should ask who lost.
All the misplaced people lost. Now they are going home to rubbish and the loss of loved ones.
Its not a victory to brag about.
