i prefer the feel, and the action, and the vibro, bends, and pitch altering, and did i say feel, of scalloped frets.
by fret job, i think you mean getting new frets, ya, you need that if your frets are worn. i have a brand new 2006 american strat, and some dudes got himself a deal unless i find better. i absolutly love the feel and way you play scalloped frets. have you heard of ritchie blackmoore, yngwie malmsteen, all used them. what about the lute.

Sounds like a good deal to me, if its a cheap guitar, and it will improve the sound a lot. I am a cellist and I used to play a 40 thousand dollar instrument, so I can understand the desire to tweek the sound on your instrument.

well if you like to learn things and money is no biggie to you at the time. Then I would most likely say go for it it make you that much more knowledgable if that problem ever should arise later in life. and you might pick up other tricks too

Tell me why you'd want to do that instead of getting a fret job?
