People say they 'find' love, as if it were an object hidden by a rock. But love takes many forms, and it is never the same for any man and woman. What people find then is a certain love.

Love, like rain, can nourish from above, drenching couples with a soaking joy. But sometimes, under the angry heat of life, love dries on the surface and must nourish from below, tending to its roots, keeping itself alive.

Lost love is still love. It takes a different form, that's all. You can't see their smile or bring them food or tousle their hair or move them around a dance floor. But when those senses weaken, another heightens. Memory. Memory becomes your partner. You nurture it. You hold it. You dance with it.

Well you need to be honest with your fiance and yourself. If this is not what you want at this point in your life then you have to let him know and not continue to lead him on. However, my question to u is "Why did u except the ring if you were not ready to commit?" U really are giving mixed signals and that's not fair to him. Let him go to find someone who is more deserving of his love because it obvious that u don't want it.

He will see thru any lies. Just be honest. Pain is a part of life. It will suck to give him this pain, but it must be done. It's better than marrying and having a divorce. Do it in person. And be around for a few weeks, cuz he'll be calling and will need you to hear all about all his confusion. You owe it to him to help him thru the pain. But then, break off contact, once you think he's over it.

i told him that i was not ready for marriage and that i should not have accepted the ring which is true i told him 2 days after we got engaged. He put me on the spot by asking me to marry him infront of mine and his family so i did not want to embarass him or make him look bad or foolish, i gave the ring back to him and have not seen him since and that was well over 7 years ago.

While you're boinkin' his best friend, say, "Uh? I don't think this is going to work out, but can I keep the ring!? Bu-bye!"

No, just tell him it's over.
