Yeah, do a toast, & say, "HERE'S TO HONOR, GETTIN ON HER & STAYIN ON HER." see if they get it. If that doesn't work, say, "IF MY AUNT HAD NUTS SHE'D BE MY UNCLE"

How about an bored look and the comment: Imagine that! Then just turn away. You can't be accused of being rude, but it does get the idea across.
Another offhand comment I like to make when people sometimes make outrageous comments regarding themselves: I have read that about you somewhere. (variation: I have heard that about you.) Always takes them aback.
