I did a system restore and it let me save some files to my c drive, I cannot access those files. I was wondering if anyone knew if I could restore those files. On my cdrive their is a folder that says my backup and it has all the information saved before the restore. I can see all my mp3s but when I try to burn them it says unsupported files in both real and media player. Somebody help please these are too many files to throw away, Help

If you go back into the System Restore feature, there should be an option to "undo" the last restore.

In addition, personal files shouldn't be touched during a restore. The System Restore feature only deals with system files, not applications you've installed or files you've downloaded/created.

See if undoing the restore gives access back, and if so, save them to CD/DVD...

what file extension are the files now? (thats the ending letters) maybe you can drag them out using 'audacity' (via the 'import raw data'), convert to wav/mp3 or such, and then play them. i got a hunch you mite have screwed up the copywrite authorization business. windows is a ***** with any kind of messing with them, and won't let you play them. i lost $30 worth of music once,,,,, never got it back, too much hassle.
