you left a floppy disc in the drive, pop it out and restart. It thinks that the floppy is an emergency boot disc, and its looking for the startup file ntldr. So don't leave those floppies in there.

I got the same message while attempting to restore a system. The first cd was a boot disk and the computer was set up to boot from the cd drive, the HD, and the floppy drive - in that order. If you don't have a valid operating system and you insert the #2 disk, you will get that message if the system re-boots. Check all your drives - floppy, cd, dvd, etc. If there are no disks in any of the drives, your operating system is not being found on startup and you should be getting a different message - "non system disk" etc.

Simplest answer:
It means the computer can't access your operating system. You probably have a disk in your floppy drive, and it's trying to read that instead.

Check your disk drives. You may have a disk in one of them and the computer couldn't boot up.
