mammals need salt. are your rabbits using the licks? Mine don,t.. Should really be enough in pellets if that is what you are feeding. rabbits are smarter than people i think. they only seem to eat what they need.

The salt licks that you give the rabbit has salt and some (usually a total of 8) essential minerals that your bunny don't usually get in it's food.

The food we are supposed to feed them does not have salt in it. ALL critters need salt. Just keeps all critters healthy. You just reminded me the horses salt block is almost gone, need to go buy another one.
People eat way to much salt, sugar and chemicals. Hence why you are not supposed to feed critters people food. Heck some other countries will not take Americas food in disasters cause it is so bad for you.

Okay WHO doesn't! Guys eat beef jerky, gals love margarita, kids love pickles.

We love salt. Its america the land of sugar and salt.
