I read in the L.A. Times this week that half of the population of the United States believes humans were created 10,000 years ago along with everything else, contrary to what current science suggests. As an informal poll, do you believe in creationism or evolution? (Those fence-riders who go somewhere in between may voice an opinion, but be on notice that your vote won't count.)

Follow up question: does this statistic sound accurate to you?

Evolution is one of our most strongly-supported scientific theories. Genesis creation myths, creationism, creation science, intelligent design or whatever this tired crap is called next has no support at all. Indeed, there is much evidence against it. Bishop James Ussher found creation was in 4004 B.C. from his Bible study, but modern scientists find our Earth is 4,700,000,000 years old. Quite a difference, hai um hai ah?

Evolution. People can believe what they like, but religion should not masquerade as science and has no place in a science class; religion belongs at home and in churches.

humans evolved from monkeys, in all likelihood.

but at some point God endowed a pair of monkeys with souls, thus making them the first humans and differentiating them from all the other animals. the rest of the human race is descended from them.

science and religion can actually co-exist. imagine that.

my very own very own theory ties the two issues in o.k.... If there's a God... it rather is exceedingly glaring (in case you have ever taken an top branch college "Genetics" class) that "Evolution" is yet in a diverse way of asserting...(tying interior the "non secular ingredient with it...) technological awareness found out "God's Plan... And "God's Plan," in keeping with each and all of the remarkable quantity of tips obtainable to us via "technological awareness exploration," we've found out that God... Created a "5 Billion 365 days supply or Take Evolutionary technique in this right here Planet with a view to Create Us, via fact each and all of the data factors to that very "Humbling Time actuality," via fact as is Human Nature, we'd clearly choose to think of that he would have "squirted us out clean" on some Hawaiian Paradise Like Island, yet by some skill our "First Ancestors" screwed issues up, via transforming into "aroused with one yet another," and the subsequent ingredient you recognize... we've Rock music via fact the "in basic terms" ingredient that factors to this "very profound fact" i'm 'espousing' right here..." So "God" created "An Evolutionary technique" to create people... "Gong!"
