I have been in northwest AR as well as Little Rock.

Northwest AR was lovely and scenic. The mountains were very pretty. I remember being in Bentonville and Bella Vista and going to the biggest WalMart in Bentonville, where they are headquartered. I also remember the old Fayetteville airport, which was one of the smallest airports I have ever flown out of, except in foreign countries. As I recall there were only 2 gates!

Little Rock was nice too, basically your typical mid size southern city. I remember a little less than 3 years ago or so the first Krispy Kreme opened right next to my hotel...traffic was lined up for a mile...they had 2 full time cops just directing traffic in-out for 3 days! Another time I remember driving on I-40 in the eastern half of the state to Memphis and must say it didn't seem like there was much scenery along the drive.

The traffic was usually light although I do remember some traffic jams that were surprisingly heavy duty ...once near the university near the Fayetteville airport.

Went to college in Helena. It was back in 1991, but it sure felt like 1951. Coke's in the machine were 25 cents. All carbonated beverages are called cokes. LOL It is nice in some parts, very beautiful, but the poverty is so oppressing. I commuted to college from Mississippi. Yes, it is worse there.
