I am new to the internet and to computers so I have no idea what is going on. When I am on the net sometimes my computer will all of a sudden pop up and say Microsoft Internet Explorer Error and have a screen that says Report problem or Don't send Report. Then my screen will shut down and pop back up after a few seconds. I ran my anti virus protection, my spyware and did a disk defragmentation and it still does it. Does anyone know what this is and if you do can you plz tell me how to fix it? I need directions in detail, I'm new remember. Thank you in advance.

Run a Disk Check. Start---My Computer--Right click on Drive(C)--Click Properties--in properties, click Tools--click Check Now--check both boxes--clcik Start.
You'll have to restart your PC. This will take up to an hour to check and clean errors. Once done, it will take you back to the log-in menu.

Only other thing I can say, is that your RAM modules(s) might be going bad.

There is something wrong with your Internet Explorer. Whenever a program crashes in Windows XP, it will attempt to send a report... it doesn't really matter whether you send it or not though, because it will not fix your problem for you.

Try running updates on everything - your antivirus protection, your spyware protection, and also windows update (make sure you install the SP1 and SP2 for Windows XP). Then do the scannings again. If the problem still pops up, try reinstalling Internet Explorer, or simply try another web browser. Firefox would be a very good idea. =)

It is just a bug in Internet Explorer. Run Windows Update. That should fix the problem. If not, try downloading Internet Explorer again, and reinstalling it.

If you do not like that message coming up, get rid of it by:
Disable error reporting

To make for a smoother computing experience, disable the error-reporting feature in windows XP.
This will prevent error boxes popping up after application crashes, and upon restarting Windows after a fatal crash.

To disable error reporting right click on 'my computer' and select 'manage.'

Expand 'services and applications' and select 'services' to open the services window.

Highlight the 'error reporting service,' right click it and select 'properties.'

In the 'startup type' dropdown box, choose 'disabled.'

it looks like software problem. IF you can uninstall your internet explorer and then reinstall it again, this might work.
