i'm trying to put files from it on my computer but it says theres a i/o problem. whats that?

u need to take out the driver and let it re detect.

to do so, go to control panel, system, hardware, devices manager, look for the usb and delete it first. then put the usb drive in.

do you have a flash drive that is not recognized by your computer? Why don't you go to Start/ Control panel/ system/ hardware/ devise manager/ disk drives/ and click on your flash card/ driver/ uninstall. Then go to add/remove programs and windows should recognize the hardware.

Same happened to me. I connected the USB drive in another USB port and it worked. In my case, it may be a worn USB port...

for a usb drive device, (thumb drive/external hdd/or any other) you have to have that particular item 'enabled' do this to check it's function setting: my computer>(whatever item is wanted)>RIGHT CLICK>properties>hardware>hilight the item>properties and under the 'general' tab make sure the device is enabled

format it first, clean it up, reset your computer and try again
