going to take it back if we ever break up or get into an argument what should I do except the gift or not??

It's your birthday! take a gift...are you already looking into the future, and planning a possible break up? If you break up the gift is still yours. I never thought about break ups while I was in the relation, it always happened at the end.

What kind of person doesn't like recieving gifts? :-) I understand the apprehension. It's never any fun to recieve a present from a loved one only to find out it is really a bargaining tool. Since he is your loved one, lets give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that his intentions are noble. In this case, you should accept the gift for the token of affection it is. If he decides to take it back later, then that will be a good reflection of his true charater and his intent in the gift. Love tokens = Good Boyfriend
Bargaining Chips = Bad Boyfriend

You are worried that he will take it back if you break up? I'm completely baffled by your logic. Why don't you concentrate on the relationship and be glad that you have a boyfriend who wants to buy you a gift? Some girls wished they were as lucky as you.

its a birthday gift. You shouldnt have to give a birthday gift back IF you break up. Accept it and enjoy it

When a gift is given it should never be taken back. You should graciously accept the gift.

Well its ur birthday present so i dont think hell take it back. But just dont think about that because u never know u guys might be together for a long time. And if u guys stay together for a long time u might regeret taking the peresent.

well sounds like you are not very secure in the realtionship itself. a gift is a gift you don't give it back.

don't think so negative, you guys r still together now. i broke up with my gf and we still kept each other gifts, calm down friend, accept his gift and be happy for what you have now. and don't waste it! advice him to what he is doing wrong and talk about what you guys don't like about each other, because that what makes you guys understand more about each other.
