G'day Miss Match,
Thank you for your question.
Without knowing the subject that you are studying and at what level, it is hard to make specific recommendations. You might want to do a paper on women in the field, women in the field at particular times (women in Victorian literature) or pioneering/significant women in their field such as Madame Curie in science. It might be useful to add details to provide further guidance.
I have enclosed term paper ideas in various fields in the hope that you might find them useful.
Best wishes for the success of your term paper.
Regards

Depends on the class.
If it's like a women's studies class, you could look at women in the job market. Look at how we view benefits of jobs. We're more likely to take a lower-paying job with better benefits and rate job satisfaction on our relationships than our bonus checks.
If it's for health, look into the pros and cons of having your OB/GYN as your PCP. What was once a profession where you just delivered babies and did pap smears now requires knowledge in psychiatry, ear nose & throat, dermatology, etc.... What can be changed about the health system to fix this?
If it's for history, investigate the role of women in war. How has that role changed over the centuries?
If it's for civics, look at women leaders. Why do we hear so much more about women's sexcapades and men's great successes, even when the men were just as promiscuous?
Oooh! Just thought of another one. Cultural practices that lead to the mutilation of women in third world countries. Saw a Yahoo! answer to Bono's question a while back that had some great info on how women are mistreated around the world, in this day and age.
Think hard about where your passions are, what the class is, and what your sisters have done for you.

You might consider doing a paper on the struggle women had to undergo to gain the right to vote. To get an idea, watch the movie "Iron Jawed Angels" with Hilary Swank.. Excellent depiction of the true story.

Breast Cancer
This topic tells the teacher that your intelligent and not just thinking about everyday things that happen to normal women for example like their menstral cycle. It will make a great term paper.
Talk about causes, what happens when you have it, how you help it, what is the normal age to get breast cancer, and statistics.

Why not write about how young women eschew feminism that their mothers, aunts , grandmothers and great grandmothers fought for. Name other than ' the stupid girl' celebrities young women who are important today and achieveing something and compare and contrast them with earlier women.

If its a health class u should do it about their health and body and stuff like that.
If its not health class....
I would do it on the achievements and contributions women have done in the past years that have changed the world.
