I am not 100 percent for this war but all Iraq aside....when the hell are other countries like Mexico gonna stop expecting us to baby sit them. I mean if your country is corrupt or your govt is corrupt then why should we always have to fix the problem? When will America just sit back and let other countries fall apart. Im sure that some people think its our responsiblity to help out thoes less fortunate then us but sometimes people get that way for a reason...and We have been helping alot of people out for the last 100 years..I think we need to take a break. Put all politics aside and think about that one? I think we need to work on Homeland security and helping ourselves advance and let other countries deal with themselves. Where was the world when we were fighting our civil war??? I didn't see anyone sending an Army in saying ok guys break it up...But we sacrafice our soldiers for what? 10 minutes of peace? thinks about this

you are half right/// we sometimes stick our noses where it doesn't belong, which is half the reason why some countries hate the USA. I agree we have no business in the middle east, except for oil control of course. The real war is not over power as much as it is over oil control. We got ourselves in the mess by being over dependent on foreign oil and not looking for fuel alternatives, now we a paying dearly, not only with people's lifes but as comsumers too. But this is who we are. Cant please everyone or every country. On the other if we let countries fail then we would face a massive economic dissarter, which means we may not have the luxuries that we enjoy now. Is a tough call no matter which way you look at it. the day we find an alternative to oil, half the crap we are dealing with now will go away.

I guess people just have to mind their own business, and not allow others to interfere with them either. It goes for America and the world. Then again, is America's game a none-profit one? Do the war torn regions have reasonable choices? Is there some benefits that accrue both directly and indirectly to America? In this perpetual game everything counts, but sometimes we are never told exactly what goes on. Government has a mandate to protect its citizens and create prosperity. Sometimes babysitting is a benevolent jester, sometimes interference, but every-time - BUSINESS.

Never. Since we have the most advanced and powerful military on Earth, it's only natural that when someone has a problem, like, say, france, they come running to the US. After we take care of their problem, they complain at us for the way we handled it. We ought to for a year, just refrain from it. Pull all troops from all foreign bases. I'll bet you South Korea would disappear, as would Taiwan, maybe Japan. Iran would attempt to conquer the Middle East. It'd be a real mess.

You are not babysitting anyone. You are looking after your interests -like everybody else.I don't understand why you have the impression you are doing anybody a favor.
Now ,if sometimes you don't understand what the particular interest is ,you are probably right :there isn't any.You have a stupid government.
But don't worry.A stupid government is something every country gets.Unfortunately too often.

we're the new Rome padna. the pezzonovanti (big shots,90 calibers)want to stay in control of global affairs. Those that gain power are afraid to lose it. we're the big boy on the block and no one is gonna seriously challenge us for a long time. we might not want it, but its past that now. we're stuck too far up the world's *** to pull out. once we collapse or have a revolution is when we'll withdraw.

If the U.S didn't help out other countries, then we would be scrutinized for that. But when we do try to help out other countries, we get ridiculed for it. Either way we are screwed. But I agree we should stop offering aid in every way and see how far the other countries last without us.

Pretty soon. Because of the GWB administration, soon we will be so far in debt that we won't be able to rescue anyone, not even ourselves.
