A larger CAI (cool air intake) pipe will add a few ponies. Also swap out your spark plugs and wires for some performance rated ones. You could mess with your engine timing, too, but I would recommend doing it with a professional mechanic. Those simple and cheap mods can get you an extra 25-30 horses easily.

The fasted and cheapest thing you can do to boost horse power is add a cold air intake but I'm not sure if Pontiac Sunfire has any aftermarket parts for performance. The second thing you can do is put an exhaust system and if you can find it you should put some headers in the car.

firts "BUY A NEW CAR" na 4 real sunfires dont go fast so if u wana have a fast car get a 90 honda crx and and put an engine of a 98 eclipse then call me .

sounds like you either need a speed sensor or a guage cluster. it might be easier than your current answer. You can check to see how much a used part is on car-part.

do an engine swap to a 2jz twin turbo 1993 to 1999 toyota supra engine. i guarantee you that you will be very very happy with the horsepower.
