yes but they shrink up. like the leg part. the rest will stretch back out again, so always buy a pair that fit in the store, never baggy ones you hope to shrink!

Cold water shouldn't cause too much trouble. It's the hot dryer that will give you grief. Put them in on a low setting and don't let them get completely dry....which means if you want them for a particular day don't wait till the last minute to wash them; there's nothing worse than pullin' on a pair of jeans with damp seams. The best is to cloths pin them to a hanger and let them air dry. You'll have to iron them but that's better than not being able to zip 'em up.

Wash in cold and then hang dry. Cheap jeans. Expensive jeans. I never have a problem washing in cold.

Mine don't shrink in the washer, it's that damned dryer that gets them. If you don't want to have to break your jeans in every time you wash them, hang them up to dry. That's what I do when I have to wash my super skinny jeans. (There is no room for shrinkage in these jeans, or they may cut off circulation.)

Washers are not really what shrinks jeans ( or really any clothes) Its drying them in the dryer that does.

They don't shrink in the washer (unless you use HOT water) its the dryer that shrinks them, sometimes the detergent or cheap fabric.
