What will you NOT allow your child to do when they are a teen?

I know some who will not let them get tatoos, piercings, wear make-up.... the lists go on and on. Do you have any NO NO lists??

Yeah, they are not to show any lack of respect to me or others. They are to follow the rules and laws, because they will be held responsible for it. They can swear if they want, but they can't swear "at" someone. My kids are all grown now and are respectable and good humans. I think I did a good job.

My only serious rules are that they don't disrespect me or their grandparents, and that they make good grades. As far as the rest of it, tattoos, piercings, make-up, hair color, I think that is all just kids stuff and I let them enjoy being able to express themselves while they are still able to do so. Okay, maybe not the tattoos so much, but everything else is just fun stuff. And my girls are in the accelerated program in high school, straight A students, play sports, and do volunteer work so I'm doing something right I suppose.

No tattoos--I'm not against them, have a couple myself. Just want the kid to have grown up a bit and are absolutely sure about what they want tattooed on them. They're just a bit too permanent, unlike piercings or makeup--which I'd allow.

I guess I'd feel the same way about scarification--too permanent.

My no list is way to damn long to list, because I am not raising me and as a teen my parents had no "no lists".
I tell my children that the no list keeps the cops from knocking on my door, and if they choose to do stupid things they can do them on their own watch.
It may sound harsh, but if you think about it...
