The Star Spangled Banner is a song about war to the tune of a British tavern song.

i think yes.
I mean think about it. In every country that I've encountered first hand, the general population know the lyrics to the whole national anthem of their respective country, In the US, watch the World Series and most people will be standing there dumbfounded or a are humming something incoherent. Not to mention, Star Spangled is so difficult to sing and a bit slow.
Personally, I think it's beautiful song but a tad boring. My personal opinio though.
America the Beautiful can't be it because it's basically the U.K.s anthem with the same lyics.
God Bless America is nice. I would choose it. (All the liberals and the ACLU would come after me for it though.)

None of these songs, they're all offensive to any other religions that don't belive in God. If America's gonna be a place of free speech, freedom of religion, then it's gotta be neutral. America's got too much religion anyways. Star-spangled banner works for everybody, nothing too controverstial...tell your teacher that it's fine the way it is. BUT IF I HAD TO CHOOSE, I'd choose "America".

no -changes---we have a proud history forged by war to build a country that is based on a concept! That makes the USA very unique in the world and our anthem truely shows it!

it is humorous. Watch the final presidential debate. Obama is the only one wearing a flag pin. mccain's collar is mysteriously barren and with out patriotism. we've chanced on the genuine terrorist my buddy.

(not Heather) This is Brandon, You cannot change the anthem for this "IS" what our country is based off of. People with different religion are able to practice their own religions freely here, and it is our "GOD" givin right to live under our god and they must also. Practice what you preach but let us preach what we practice. you do not like living under "OUR GOD" then go to where your "GOD is practiced and preached. You are all more then welcome to practice it here by all means and I will respect and honor the ways of your practice.
