Mean people are just mean! Some are intelligent, some are not. Some use their intelligence, some do not. The most dangerous people are those that are very intelligent AND mean & use thier intelligence in very evil ways.

I think a lot of the mean people are not too bright. That or they are just scared of anything that is outside the realm of the things they are familiar with. What's really frightening on here are some people that do seem to have a relatively good degree of intelligence but channel that into hatred. Odd that so many of them are rabid Bush supporters...

Actually, other way around.
Many of them were probably very intelligent at one time. But they allowed hatred and anger to cloud their minds. They started spouting rhetoric and they stopped thinking for themselves.
