I dont think 15 y/o boy is called children. They are teenagers. They can do whatever they want. You can even divorce you parents at the age. Like I mentioned earlier, Im not advocating May- December affair. And to be honest with you, I really dont give a damn.

In my opinion the 15 year old boy is seeking a father figure. And he's desperately looking for love that he's probably not receiving at home. I'm not sure if calling the police is a good idea or not. Have you ever seen the way the police handle situations like this one? They will embarass the hell out of this kid. The police will talk to all the neighbors. Then the neighbors will gossip to their friends, and within days the entire neighborhood will know that this kid must be gay, and then nobody will want to be around him. In my opinion the best way to handle this is to go directly to the 35 y/o man and tell him to stay away from the kid or he's going to get his butt kicked! And then tell the kid to look for someone closer to his own age to develope a relationship with.

But now that I've thought more about it, maybe the police should be notified because this guy could be molesting more kids that no one knows about. I just feel sorry for the kid who this happening to because his life is going to be turned upside down by adults asking him all kinds of personal and embarassing questions.

Yeah, I guess I vote YES for calling the police. It's better to protect more kids from possibly being molested by the 35 year old guy.

Remind him how serious having a sex crime charge on his record is.
Even though the 15 year old feels and thinks he is a man,he is still legally a child. bottom line is .he is a child by law. teenagers "do it" all the time but an adult especially at 35 needs his head smacked. We have a responsiibilty to children . All of them . One of them is to exercise the need to have a bit of discipline and control over our own behaviors in a situation such as this.

I think the main point is to treat it as you would a 35 year old male friend dating a 15 year old girl or a 35 year old female friend dating a 15 year old boy. It's still the same issue genderless... You would report statuatory rape or at least give your friend a knowledgeable talking to, so do the same in this situation. Truly age is just a number if we were talking even 20 and 35, however at the age of fifteen a boy may understand sex, but that does not make him competent enough to have sex. Even if he is, there are lots of other gay kids his age he could hook up with providing for a safer and socially acceptable (well, provided their not homophobic) relationship. In all too many situations like this a fifteen year old may feel in control, but if he's dating a thirty five year old he clearly is not and needs help.
