Movement is the idea of how culture spread to that area, transportation of goods and services. In order for something to be labeled a region it has to have a common characteristic. In other words like the bible belt or wine country. A place can be located in several different regions depending on what characteristics that place has. When you are talking about place you want to know what physical features it has like lakes, mountains, valleys, volcanoes, hills, blah blah blah, and the human characteristics like culture, religion, language and so forth. Place in geography involves human and physical characteristics, such as rivers, or habits of people that makes an area distinct. Movement is through the ideas of people from place to place and in geography, region is the basic unit of study, like a special area that is different from surroundings.
