You ought to read the journals of Lewis and Clark's expedition to the Pacific. Their group had professional hunters, brought along to kill food and protect the expedition. The whole crew got to where they avoided grizzlies at all costs because they were so hard to kill and so aggressive in attacking. Just thought I'd pass that along. The expedition also started eating dogs in Washington state, because game was so hard to find.

If i had a box of hand grenades and a AK-47 then i would have no fear in scarring off 10 bears. But if it was just me and the bear then i would be very much afraid for my life.

I think I'd call that foolishness as opposed to courage. I'd like to think I would have the intelligence to run like hell or try to hide or get away from it somehow. Of course, it's one thing to try to visualize that scenario here in front of my PC in the comfort of my living room. Being in that situation would be a completely different thing!

I would **** myself!!!! I don't do courage when it comes to animals. I would say i would probably lay down and wait for hte bear to eat me...yeah as i lay in my own ****.
