They wanted me to play QB for the varsity team, and I was in the 7th grade at the time... if your anything like I was you'll make the team.

not good, even if a freshman is REALLY good (like most college players didn't play much varsity until sophomore year), it's almost impossible to get significant playing time. you have to be incredibly good, and the position's depth has to be thin. the biggest reason it's so hard is that the game at high school varsity is much faster and more complex than jv or middle school. and most players just aren't that strong yet

it actually depend on if you are a better player then the other who is going for tht postion. I play varsity my first year in high school as a DE. I was 5-6 120lbs. But I was also call the head hunter on my them too. I really enjoy punishing the person who carry have the ball.

it'll be tough. If u are a big guy that can throw people arund in the trenches or u can run a sub 4.4 than ur gold but if not work on making the team and getting better each year. It is still a great thing to make varsity in ur sophmore year.

I made varsity soccer as a freshman--cause i rocked!!!!!!

It depends on the size of your school. I went to a school of 500 people 9-12 so it wasn't that hard because there wasn't alot of competition.

my ex made varsity when he was a freshman....but he is 6ft 2in...and weighs almost 250 ....big big guy....so id say if your big and buff...you got a shot but if your just a skinny minny.....your prolly not gonna make it..good luck
